Welcome to GRIT ("App," "we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
GRIT is designed with a privacy-first approach. All your data is stored locally on your device, and we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.
The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third parties:
If you choose to grant access to Apple Health, the App may read the following data types:
Important: Health data is read-only and is never stored permanently within GRIT. The App only queries this data on-demand to auto-complete tasks when Health metrics are met. This data remains within Apple's Health app; GRIT does not write any data to Apple Health.

GRIT does not share any data with third parties. Because all data is stored locally on your device, we have no access to your information and therefore cannot share it.
You may choose to export your data to CSV format using the App's export feature. Once exported, you control where this file goes (email, cloud storage, etc.). GRIT does not track or control how you share exported files.
We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. Your data stays on your device.
GRIT integrates with Apple Health solely to auto-complete challenge tasks based on your fitness metrics (steps, workout minutes). This integration is entirely optional.
You can deny Health access and still use all other App features. You can revoke access at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > GRIT.
Your data is protected by:
Because GRIT does not transmit data externally, there is no risk of interception during transmission.
Your data persists on your device until you choose to delete it. There is no automatic data deletion.
If you have iCloud Backup or iTunes backups enabled, your GRIT data may be included in those backups. This is controlled by your iOS settings, not by GRIT.
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information:
For users in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA), please note that because we do not collect or process personal data on external servers, there are no data processing agreements or sub-processors involved.
GRIT is rated 4+ and does not contain content inappropriate for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, because we do not collect personal information at all.
Parents and guardians can monitor their children's device usage through standard iOS parental controls.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. Because GRIT does not collect, sell, or share personal information, there is no information to disclose, delete, or opt out of selling.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
GRIT is currently available in the United States App Store. All data remains on your device regardless of your location. If you use the App outside the United States, please be aware that your local data protection laws may differ from U.S. laws.
